For the year 2026, Instituto Poffo and the Brazilian Association of Cardiovascular Surgery Residents (ABRECCV) have jointly developed this internship in minimally invasive and robotic cardiac surgery. The goal is to introduce an area of cardiovascular surgery that has been rapidly evolving, offering increasing benefits to patients.
The internship is observational in nature, with a predominant duration of 30 consecutive days. One position is offered per month, totaling 11 positions from March 2026 to February 2027 (except July). This call for applications is valid from January 2026 to February 2027.
The internship provides exposure to robotic cardiovascular surgery at Instituto Poffo, with a workload of 60 hours per week. It is strictly observational and intended for cardiovascular surgery residents enrolled in programs accredited by the Brazilian Ministry of Education (MEC) or the Brazilian Society of Cardiovascular Surgery (SBCCV), and duly registered with ABRECCV.
March 2026 to February 2027, except July.
30 consecutive days (15 days in December and January).
Distributed across daytime, nighttime, and weekend periods, according to the institution’s schedule.
Applicants must complete the online application form and submit all required documentation to the official ABRECCV email address. At the time of application, candidates must indicate three preferred months for the internship.
Candidates will be ranked based on curriculum analysis, considering scientific production, courses, participation, and presentations at scientific events, according to the criteria described in the official call. There will be no interview.
